Governor Jim Douglas visits Artesano
Governor Jim Douglas made a scheduled stop at Artesano to see the progress on the meadery as well as to sample some of Artesano's hand made ice cream. In addition to brewing mead, Nichole and Mark decided to open a scoop shop that serves premium ice cream made from local ingredients. Since the brewing process takes well over a year, the ice cream will help span the long startup period before the wine is ready.
Artesano Ice Cream is located at 1334 Scott Highway in Groton, VT. Our hours of operation are from 2:00PM to 8:00PM, Thursday through Sunday and holidays. We can also be reached by phone at 802-584-9000.
All of our ice cream is hand made in a small alcove of the meadery, and we offer both hard and soft serve ice cream. We also offer custom flavors for parties and events. Stop in and say hello!
